Russia has succeeded beyond expectation at the Beijing Olympics. Their athletes have excelled in their divisions and have afforded Russia the honor of taking home a total of twenty-three gold medals, twenty-one silver medals and twenty-eight bronze medals. It is a magnificent achievement for the country, showing their dominance throughout the running of the Beijing Olympics.
