Can you give your computer's/OS's specifications?

What do you have to do twice? A `soft' shutdown (using your OS) or a `hard' shutdown (using a button on the computer)?

What pops up twice?

I think it's better to explore all possible options before reinstalling the OS. Reinstalling the OS can be a big pain.
