Nobody can stop anyone from expressing their beliefs in God. However, Lina's case is about recognizing her right to be Christian in a predominantly Muslim land. When Shari'a law comes into place, a former Muslim is prohibited from denouncing her former faith publicly, unless she is willing to be charged under apostasy. In this case, a jail term. I don't think any convert would want to go to jail simply for that.
In any case, the subsequent threat by the Muslim Youth Movement President Yusri Mohammad, was clearly a blackmail. It is his job as a Youth leader to calm the waters, not chop the waters with an oar. Its outlandish and quite frankly, lame. This is not what a supposed "peaceful religion" teaches.
