Questions for Russian's opinion about Mongol invasion?

Hi, I wonder how the Mongol invasion is described in history education in Russia. I knew it might quite negetive previously, probabaly more negetive than western countires. However, there is a new trend in US and other western country which give very positive comments to Gengis Khan and his Empire. For example a American wrote a new book "Genghis Khan and the Making of the Modern World", in which he describe Gengiskhan as a liberal, generous and intelligent world leader who gives significant contribution to establish the modern civilization. The author has influence the academy world in western countries. Many western historians have changed their comments about many impacts of the Mongols from negative to possitive. It was also reported that modern historians think the damage of Mongol empire was exaggerated.

My question is , has the new trend in western historians influence russian historians and history educations. How is your education in Russia describe the Mongol invasion in past and now? I would appreciate your help.
