Lev Gumilev went even further and proved the existense of rather simbiotic relationship between the Orda and Kievian Russ.Prime example is St. Alexandr Nevskiy,who succesfully stopped Western crusaders.While paying tribute to the Orda,he had almost unlimited military assistance to control and protect Russia's Western borders from Roman Catholic expantion.
