I know where you are going with your train of thought Brian. Scripture is clear that God hates lying lips. You have told lies in the past. Therefore God must hate you for telling lies. I don't think God hates any of his creations. He even says to take up a lamentation for Satan (Ezek 28:12). But I think he hates what we have allowed ourselves to become sometime.
Thank God that his mercy endures forever and his love never fails.
