Actually omygodimretarded, the "feeling" is based upon advice from people who actually live in those cities. The owner of another Russian discussion forum is buying apartments in Mogilev and renovating them. He'll make a ton on subleasing them out.

We all feel sorry for you OMG.

If that reflects your personal experience, I can understand your confusion. You see, foreign morons are not welcome in Russia, as Russia (like any country) has enough of it's own. On the other hand, North Americans are very well regarded in Russia, and in my experience, are made to feel quite at home there. I hope that lifts the fog surrounding your lack of understanding...
