Any VOIP, SS7, SIP people around?

I work in a NOC watching Voice and soft switch alarms all day and sometimes I get bored when the network is slow on the weekends. I was wondering if there was anyone else here that might be in the same field that might want to share some experiences on other networks. Or share some experiences with some other telcoms that they might of worked for.
At my company we run 3 different networks, an old DMS network, a Viper network which runs off our Sonus gear, and our newest one is just being rolled out, Vector. We have a European division so I do not get to touch much of that gear over in that neck of the woods, but am interested in the lastest techs that have rolled out on your networks and how they compare to ours. I understand people can not list details about the make up of the network or locations of gear so we should stay off that topic as needed.
