Hi to all,
I've just finished to read this extremely interesting report I saw in Balamut signature: http://www.lib.ru/MEMUARY/CHECHNYA/grozny_engl.txt I would like to know other reports and stories about Chechen events and terrorism in english language. I want to know history from russian point of view. Sadly in italian newspapers I read too much Russia-bashing biased stories. By the way, generally, with few exceptions, italian sources hostile to Russia are the same hostile to America. Id est the majority. I would like to read in english the other side. Can you please send me some links ? Thank you very much Paolo |

http://www.lib.ru/MEMUARY/CHECHNYA/chechen_war.txt on the same site? It's written by Russian captain who fought in Grozny in 1995. |

Another interesting site
Paolo,
I am from Ireland and trying to understand the madness that is the Caucusses, especially in light of the recent murders in the school in Beslan. Here is a site I have found interesting: http://www.jmu.edu/orgs/wrni/islam1.htm Why is it that anywhere I see a picture of the Koran, there is always an AK47 accompanying it ? What would the response be if the Bible was always represented in this manner ? To any Chechen readers (Rain ??): Why, when independence was seeming obtained in 1996, did the Chechen government and public allow the Vakhabites to start making the running ? Is this why there were incursions into Dagestan, and do the majority of Chechens want to live under Wahabi style rule ? Regards. |
