Agreements between Russia and the West not worth the paper they are written on?

BERLIN, Feb. 21 (UPI) -- Poland and the Czech Republic are both likely agree to U.S. anti-missile installations on their territory, despite the controversy involved. ...

For many observers, the rift with Russia that has been created is the system's biggest problem. When NATO planned its expansion into the East, it had guaranteed Russia it would not station any important military capacities on the new members' territory for the long-term, Nassauer said.

Now Moscow feels justly betrayed, he added, "because the Americans are right now breaking this promise."

(Ottfried Nassauer, head of the Information Center for Transatlantic Security, a Berlin-based think tank)
United Press International - Intl. Intelligence - Analysis: Poles, Czechs for U.S. missiles

Agreements between the strong and the weak are usually not worth the paper they are written on because the strong can always break the agreements without much fear of what the other will do.

Perhaps the only thing Russia can and probably will do is help some of the enemies of the West in order to split West's military resources by creating several fronts than need to be defended and thus decrease the threat to themselves.

You still don't get it, do you? Russia is THE enemy of the West. Get it?

Enemies can co-exist peacefully for a long time, when they make agreements with each other and abide by them. But when there is no trust and agreements are not worth the paper they are written on, then competition between enemies often leads to war. And this time it's nuclear war we are talking about.

USA is so far ahead of all other countries in it's military spending that only use of nuclear weapons can and will make everybody equal in a war situation.

Not if they don't have to.
America will never trust Russia, period. It was Russians' own fault if they trusted America.
Any country that uses nuclear weapon on America will be wiped out from the face of this earth.
It's only a matter of time before we finish off Russia.

It sounds like you are one of those rare people who support an all out nuclear war with unforseeable consequences for everyone on the planet.

You heard wrong. Where in my post did I say that I support an all out nuclear war? Couldn't find it? I thought so.

Post Russia has little to fear OMYGOD

The Communists and Socialists thoroughly infiltrated the USA goverment by the end of the 1930s. The USA
military and all its versions of the GRU were thoroughly infiltrated also, and Moscow sent millions of Soviets and others here as spies or sleepers during the cold war. Is the USA currant Defense secretary a "Comrad"?
If missles are being put in eastern countries, it is so shady charactors in the Defense Industry can make more millions by ripping off the US taxpayers with unnessary weapon purchases. There is no real threat of war with Russia, everyone in the USA Goverment are Comrads.
