Happy New Year everyone. I hope that everyone had a great holiday season. Welcome back Gene.

I am sure that everyone was able to have a good time. I doubt that igor was able to, though. The hatred and jealousy in his heart is sad, but amusing. How could a man profess love if he hates so much? You have revealed yourself, igor. You said that since I have 4 cats then there must be a woman. You said you analyse human behavior. What about feline behavior? Cats are not "owned." A cat will chose who it wants to be with, not the other way around. Yes, I love dogs and other canines and I have had many. But the relationship is different. A dog will consider you a master, but a cat will only consider you an equal at best. Here lies the window to your soul, igor. You said that you once had Lilly in a previous life. It must have been hell for her. You do not "own" or "possess" her. You do not "own" cats, you also cannot own Lilly's love and affection. If you try to own her, you will lose her. Maybe you realize that and are now wallowing in self pity. Lilly will give herself to whomever she wants and blessed is that man who experiences her love and devotion. But to think that you can "own" it is the heart of your problem.

And yes, I am a "mongrel" as you state. I prefer the word "mutt." We are a nation of mutts and I marvel and am proad of it. Hitler also called us a nation of mongrels. So you agree with his racial theories? I am extreemly grateful that my forefathers escaped the bondage from their former "pure (in)bred" masters and became the creators of their own destiny. I am a mutt and damn proud of it. This nation of mutts has accomplished more than another nation every created or devised.

In your prior world, "honor" was applied only to class. The world of a "gentleman" was highly prized even if it could not be trusted. Having nothing but the fortunate circumstance of a favorable birth meant more than anything else. But in "mongrel" America, you earn your title, you earn your keep and you earn your honor.

Oh, the exact phrase is "shoot first, ask questions later." But that is passe now. The new phrase is "nuke 'em all, let God sort them out." Smile, igor.

Lilly, I hope that I can experiece your love and devotion. I am not your equal, I am your humble servant. This mutt does not deserve you, but any favor you bestow is all the reward I need.

Thank you Chase for your warm thoughts. You put me on so high a pedestal, the altitude is making me heady.

One observation I have made about cats. Pet and care for them 9 times, and if on the tenth you don't, they will scratch you.
