This is an open letter to the president of Russia.

I am a 29 year old American with a great love for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I live in a nation that has shamed me. There is nothing "I" can do to change the awful things my forefathers have done. I oppose slavery and the demise of the American indian. NOW TO YOU MR PRESIDENT.... I have had great respect for you and the fight you have made for your homeland... Now after hearing your threat of nuclear arms against me and my family and nation, I say screw you: LET US BLOW UP OUR NUCLEAR MISSLES HERE AT HOME, KILL ALL OF US IN HONOR AND LEAVE YOU AND YOUR NATION TO WALLOW IN THIS HELL CALLED EARTH. ARE YOU AN IDIOT! CAN'T YOU UNDERSTAND! NOBODY WINS WITH NUCLEAR WEAPONS! IF YOU BLOW OFF ONE MISSLE THE WHOLE WORLD IS DOOMED! HOW DARE YOU!

Let me add that I only get my news from American reported news = CNN. If some how this report of you threatening me is incorrect. I am shamed, otherwise, you sir are shamed!

MR. JASON NICKERSON

Bravo! Not only does a nuclear war make us all losers, it will destroy any hope future generations might have had to salvage this planet and the people on it! It's easy to point a finger at the USA and say "Look at what YOU did to Hiroshima and Nagasaki!"
Any thinking person, American or otherwise, will tell you that was a terrible, dreadful thing. However, we personally, were not the ones who were there, in that place, at that time, to make that decision and hold on to that responsibilty forever. We ARE here, now. It seems to be a more deadly game of "He hit me first, well , he was gonna', he WAS calling me names!". You remember, the thing ALL children of ALL the nations in the world have played anytime there was more than 1 child in a mile's radius! Heaven help us, it seems we don't want to help ourselves!

A cornered rat can't run and he can't hide so he will fight and if he has big teeth he will use big teeth.

Sounds great! The "screw you" especially.
I'm not intended to support our president and his regime. There are less than 2% of Russia's people supported him for your information. I know nobody personally. I hadn't read CNN reported, I had been listening him speaking. The words he said were "May Clinton doesn't forget what Russia has complete collection of nuclear weapon". I quote them from my memory.
You should not treat us as a stupid. At first the citation context isn't limited by his China tour. The complete set of circumstances includes Russian Northern Caucasus policy, West's threats of some sanctions to Russia and Yugoslavian historical experience. So he said something like "There are no world police operations. Any such action is TRUE WAR!!! CLINTON, DO YOU WANT IT?!" I think if economic sanction to Russia would have been applied the real Russian reply was cutting Europe from Russian gas before winter. But what about bombing Russia has S-300 and other air defence means. Russia had been resisting to invasions by centuries. West understands nothing in Russian domestic affairs. There is old Russian proverb "One must not visit strange monastery with his own charter".
THINK.

Sorry, the exact Eltsyn's words were "He /Clinton/ seemingly forgot per second, per minute, per half of a minute what Russia has complete arsenal of nuclear weapon…" american president decided "to play by muscles as they say… I want to say to Clinton with you help may he don't lose his consciousness of that world he lives. That hadn't and that will not have happened he dictated to the whole world solely how to live. Multipolar world is the base of all."
That was all touching to nuclear intimidation. By the way I've read what NATO forces commander Klark had announced speaking about Northern Caucasian operation what Russia acts like Serbs in Kosovo. He also emphasized what state sovereignty and territorial integrity are not inviolable and invariable things. So MR. JASON NICKERSON, WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THAT?
ANALYZE.

yes, it is a very sad world we live in. I am really concerned with the NATO forces and this all together now "bomb" mentality. It's so stupid. Why must history repeat itself again and again, have we not learned enough about war and weapons. I really hope this situation resolves itself in peace. I would also like to add that my statement of blowing our nukes up at home was simply an example of what good it would do anyone to use nuclear weapons. NONE!

Is Russia ready for 2000?

The preface to Leon Uris' novel "Trinety" states something like this..."there is no future, only the past repeating itself". it may have been present, it's been MANY years since I've read it. Regardless as to the tense, the meaning is the same. It seems that man IS destined to repeat the same mistakes, over and over and over. Guess you could say greed and hatred are the "energizer bunnies" of those in power around the world. It keeps going and going and going... I'm sure you get the picture.
I sure would like to see this world a better place for my granchildren. I think we were given a pretty good gift and have managed to thoroughly screw it up! It is up to each of us to try in any way possible to help mend this world we call home.
