You say what I have been thinking about Isreal; that they got a good peace treaty with Egypt but clinton is twisting their arm for a bad deal with Syria so he can have a worthless peace treaty in his hat. Are you saying that we are offering to put more Americans in harms way for a stupid treaty?

I guess you are calling Christian teachings superstitions. I agree that it is hard to believe a woman who says, "I am pregnet but I am still a virgin because I am made preganet by god."
But still Christanity teaches a lot of values. I live a better life when I try to live by the teachings of Jesus. Like Chase says about Clinton, he has no moral compass.

I voted for a democrat president and a republician congress. Lucky me I got what I asked for.
I just pray that clinton doesn't find a way to over ride Congress and the Supreme court the way he skips other laws and treatys when it suits him. Then I will have helped create a real monster.
When I voted for Clinton I was concerned about ONE issue and that was unfair trade practices by the tiger nations. My man has done his job there and now I see he has opened somemore of Indias closed markets.

B.UNGARO- hi, I read your posts and they are very interesting. You said that those dangerous people say that "using tax money to help poor is a waste of money " Well that depends on what you consider when you say "poor". It makes me MAD every time I get my paycheck and see how much money was taken for taxes. And do you know who gets that money? Well, that money (my, yours etc.) goes to healthy, young people who do NOT WANT to work. why would they when WE WORK FOR THEM. If you go to any family service office you will see hundreds of males and females ages between 18-50- young, healthy, strong and capable of performing almost any kind of work. But do they have a job? NOOOOOO. Well again I work for them. Money they get they spend on drugs, pagers, mobile phones and tommy hillfiger clothes. THe fact that there are "poor" single mothers with 6 or more children is NOT my problem and I refuse to be responsible for their poverty. They deserve NO help. First, almost NONE of them are married. Children were born outside of marriage. I do not have problem with that as long as I do not have to pay for people like that. They should have KEPT THEIR LEGS CLOSED.( I am sorry the way I am saying that) We are humans not rats or rabitts. What is that uncontrolled breeding? Should we make a law like in China permitting only one child per family? I am also a 22 year old female who is engaged. But I take the responsibility about my sex life. In USA thera are so many birth control pills that virtually 99%of women could find a kind that is good for them. How about condoms, gels ......... I can understand that mistakes happen but how many times - 5,6,7... Impossible. But American government gives them motivation to have more kids-have one more and we will give you additional $400 in food stamps! That is where my taxes go. Also, Just an example- I live in Missouri and in my city over last 3 years came 25000 refugees from Bosnia. Also, hundreds of Vietnamese, some Serbs and Arabs. Almost EVERY man and almost all women have jobs. Secure, relatively good jobs. I have been in this country for only 3 years now. We bought a nice house in a nice area, two cars, computer, new furniture, TV, VCR, CD player, my brother goes to private school, I am a full time college student who works full time etc. And it is not only my family. Almost all refugees bought nice houses, new, fancy cars etc. And they have been here for only 3 or 4 years. Majority of us came here whith no money at all and had help from the government for only 3 months. We came here with $100 in our pocket because of the war. So do not tell me that those "poor" people need help. My city had more than 30000 jobs waiting for people in the last 3 years!!!Why don't they get a dam_ job? But why should they-we work for them. I think that eliminating income tax would be great but that is totally impossible so it is not even worth discussing. Also, because I work full time I and other were not able to get financial aid for college, but people with GPA 2.0,2.5 or 3.0 were able to get it because they live on welfare. Well maybe I should go on welfare too. Plus none of those people that do get financial aid will not graduate or it will take them 10 years for a four-year program because they collect welfare(tax )money for as long as they go to school. When you said about money for Israel- Isreal does not need any money but of course they will get it from their "mother"counry USA. As far as hungry people in Sudan- my fiance's uncle was a sailor for one of the Scandinavian countries(he retired 8 years ago). They would go to Africa and offer people who live in places close to ports to unload ships. They used to offer them enough money to live in luxury (for those conditions) for three or five months. Everybody would benefit- sailors would not have to do it themselves and for them that was not a lot of money for Western standards. On the other hand doing that for almost every ship Africans could easily support their families throughout the whole year. But do you know what they did instead? Refuse to work and than try to steal things from ships!!! Why the h_ll should I help them. I am not saying that everybody is like that because I had met some very hardworking people from Sudan, but majority? Yes, they'd choose hunger over work. Also you said - "pistol under every pillow"- were you talking about gun control? Criminals and gangs already have guns. Nobody will take them away from them. But if they want to kill somebody they can and would use knives, rocks, sticks etc. unless we outlaw that including the use of scissors, screwdrivers, sticks, bricks and chainsaws? I am 5'5" female with only 118 pounds. If attacked by even unarmed man I have no chance of defending myself. I do want to have a gun because when somebody wants to hurt you they do not need a gun for it. Gun control leaves good citizens unprotected. Almost any man is stronger than a woman and I do not want to be the victim of rape, robbery, etc. If that happens I want to be able to defend my life. And what should I do- try to beat up a guy who is 6'2' or more with 200 or more pounds? Please-impossible. I do not want to be just one more statistic number on the police list of dead victims, and I WILL make sure that does not happen. Those are just my opinions and I am not trying to change yours or opinion of other people.

HI GENE- I saw your post about UN investigating NATO bombings. The latest comment on that from UN is that if they accuse NATO they would have to put presidents of all NATO countries in front of court. And they said that that is IMPOSSIBLE. Well that is easy to understand. what would they do?- send Clinton and Madalaine Albright in jail like they want to send Serbian war "criminals" to jail? Of course that is impossible. In the worst case UN said that the punishment will be "SYMBOLIC". Wow, too late, who cares? Besides UN is just as bad and as just as guilty as NATO so all that is just useless talking that means nothing at all. At least Russians give me certain satisfaction from their fight with Chechens. I like watching NATO AND UN so powerless to stop Russians. At least one of the Slavic nations is capable of facing imperialistic West. I hope and pray that this does not end like the last time with Chechens. This should be the last time Chechens killed Russians. By the way it is always nice to read your replies, Gene. You are an intelligent man.
