Why does everyone assume that all Americans hate Russians?

When I read the topics and replys on this board, I try to be open-minded and considerate of everyone's opinions, but sometimes it really weighs on me that so many people in here make such hideous remarks about Americans, with little foundation. I am a peaceful person, and I have decided to dedicate my life helping those less fortunate, espically Russian people, because I love all people,and paricuarly Russians. So I hope everyone can see how offensive it is to be insulted along with an entire country for feelings that are not mine. I love Russians, I think their history is fasinating, their people beautiful and warm, and their country unlike any other. So I would appricate not being unjustly scorned just because I am American.

Dear Layla, no. we all don't think americans hate Russians (my postings under American Propaganda may be of some information to u).
we russian residents in the US did have some unpleasant experiences w/ the american opinion about Russians and Russia. try to see it our way: people go saying there's nothing but snow, vodka, cold, and crimes, and 'commies' in the country that we love and miss. but americans are just misinformed about Russia, not evil. we should patiently educate them about our country, not hate them for their mistakes.

in fact, when i came here people did have wrong opinions about russia, but they did not hate me and were friendly and curious. they welcomed my family and me.

to be honest, the way some of my fellow slavic easterners pour dirt on the U.S. here makes me blush.

Insted of being suprised why Russians write this about America you should think what makes people write this. We are abused here and our rights are abused. I am not going to apologize for what I write instead I think America ows me an apology and to millions of others like me. You nation is spreading hate,prejudice everywhere. You may be a nice person. But are you worried about Russian people, and what makes you think Russian people need your help anyway. What you can do is if you love people so much is help the thousand of inner city children who are in more missery in this country than even the poorest Russian child in Russia.Russians we will take care of our country and our people ourself.We don't need your pitty or help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My god how long are you going to apologize to Americans for what you or Russians say. let them here the truth how we feel about them. I really don't care if they get upset or they don't like it. This is my opinion and they shaped it.They don't apologize to us for affending us everyday i might add,portraining us as animals in their ****en movies as well as their portrail of other nations.Instead they should think why we wright all this.
