'Shepards of the wilderness, wretched things of shame, mere bellies, we know how to speak many false things as though they were true; but we know, when we will, to utter true things.' Hesiod---Theogony

OK, I give up. Come on, tell us what the significance of it is?

Hehehe. Straighterway, observe the elements of ideology coming into play: cynicism, sarcasm, bewilderment, etc. As I said, those 'archaic subterfuges' serve a very definite purpose. Hesiodic Thog: mix the true with the untrue, letting the one support the other. D.W. is nearly an in situ discovery. Get the point Doctor?

Thumbs down

get WHAT point?

Your lack of a point is a lack of a point is a lack of a point.

As we saw when you railroaded the discussion about Judaism in Russia, not having anything to say is no handicap to a gentleman as pathologically prone to public preening as yourself. "Publish and be spammed" - your credo, I believe?

Does it occur to you how discourteous it is to other users of this board to spam it with irrelevant topics in inappropriate sections? If you have no other outlet for your inclinations towards playing warped psychological games, could you at least confine their outpourings to the Open Board section? I know that asks you to talk about "anything", rather than talk about nothing, but I'm prepared to ignore the semantic difference in favour of having the board sections used with some degree of courtesy to fellow-users.

I and others are on slow modem connections which cut-out frequently - perhaps you could post your philosophical Escherisms in a section I could more readily ignore?

Thank you.

Dr W.

It of course has never occurred to you how asinine it is of you to institute yourself as final arbitrator of what others are or are not suppose to consider here, or any other place. Talking about an ego trip. What, Doctor(?), are your credentials that lets you assume such self-importance? As stated elsewhere, it is probably 'nomos'. How blatantly obvious can one get in a silly attempt to find self-worth?

To All: if in the course of daily activies one can't study and understand others, then how in the hell is anyone suppose to understand the self? Dr. W's objection to being brought under the microscope of inquiry as to the type of person he might be is is indicative of a desire to hid behind empty words and soulless prater.>>>>>>> I believe the word is eschar and not escher, Doctor. But since you are an escharotic product, you must know the difference.

In those immortal words: "I have not yet begun to fight." You were fairly warned, Doctor. Now let the battle begin.
