"evelyn" ==

There is a "normal" discussion for this board -- that's what is going on here. Full of cursing, name-calling, distortion of facts, etc. So I'd better follow you, my friend...

2 Petruxa

Although I'm not Russian, I live and work in Moscow - I hope this qualifies me to be a member of this board?

and to everyone, including "Mad Russian"... a few statistics for you, to put this all in context....

Approximate cost of a PC in Moscow = $600
Cost of 14 pre-paid hours internet connection = $14 (let's say, enough for one month if you are careful?)

Average monthly wages in Moscow = $150 if you are lucky?

Average monthly wages in Barnaul, Siberia = $40 if you are lucky.

So please, let's get REAL here? Computers and internet connections are something most Russians simply cannot afford. That's why there are not many of them here. (Well, and also because of certain idiots on this board, but please guys, <hello Daria, Evelyn!> let's not get dispirited quite so easily?

Dr W.

MadRussian is right, there are very few or no Russians on this board. That is not because "Russians cannot afford computers" as one "intellectual" stated above (I am Russian and my family of 3 people owns 2 desktop computers and 2 notebooks).

Russians don't participate in those discussions because they don't really care what foreigners or Russia-haters think or say.
There is a beautiful saying in Central Asia :sobaka layet, karavan idet! (The dogs are barking, the caravan keeps on moving).

If spitting puss and violent barking makes Russia-haters happy, let them bark. We, Russians, will do what is good for us.

Strange that they are so obsessed with Russia and Russia doesn't give a damn that they even exist with their "opinions".

I said, we, Russians, though I am only a quarter Russian. I still beleive I belong to this great and proud nation, because I speak perfect Russian and know Russian culture.(I was born and raised in Moscow). I lived in many different countries, I speak fluent English, German, Italian, I know and respect many cultures. But my heart is in Russia, I call Russian my mother tongue, I call Russians "nashi", Russian culture and history are sacred to me.

My Russian friends, who are so few on this "Russian" site, sorry I cannot show up and comment too often on this site. Reason? I have my career, my family, my life. I just don't have time for any sites.

This message is written by me just to let you know - don't waste your time and breath on Russia-haters. They have nothing better to do with their lives but to write on those "discussion boards" about their hate for Russia (or somebody else for this matter), I rather feel sorry for them. They don't know that some other things exist - like stock exchange, trips to Italy, nice restaurants, etc. If they had all this, they would not waste their time on these "discussion boards".
I can see writing a note once in a while, but to sit here and write every day.......
Privet vsem!
