Maybeso, maybeno
Comrade, would alleged offenders get refunds if tried and found not guilty? The (truly) criminal justice system in our own U.S.A. is already afflicted with the abominations of plea bargaining and seizure of allegedly ill-gotten gains, which make it much too tempting to haul people in on trumped-up charges in order to confiscate their goods. The only lasting solution to the crime problem is to create a just society, I'm sorry, there is just no quick fix. Pardoning supercriminals like Marc Rich is not the way to go about it, that's for sure! Nor is punishing corageous leaders like Peru's Fujimori, who is now exiled for daring to take on Sendero Luminoso narcoterrorists in defense of his country. With the political will and modern technology, a community of nation-states could crush the international drug trade like a bug on a windshield. Do you know what is the last thing that goes through such a bug's mind? His *******!
