Unhappy

Gene, right now there are a whole batch of things to get heated up over, and the situation could get much worse in the coming days. To my way of guess-imating neither of these guys fill the suit of President. In fact, they scare the hell out of me. Peace

Who would fill the bill for such a powerful job. We humans have created positions that are beyond our cababilities. History shows that there will be no divine intervention, only humans pretending to be devine. Either man would fill the bill as well as anyone but now Gore has pissed me off.
After Bush is president I feel sure he will piss me off too.
I wish there was someone to vote for that was against our invasion of Serbia.
I don't have the book knowledge of some people on these post but I have a strong since of what is just fundumentally wrong.

Gene, the invasion of Serbia was all about the needs and desires of the Capitalists. Kosovo has critically vital ores, and enough of it to last 500 years. The value of that area is beyond estimating, and certainly no handful of nationals are going to stand in the way of the Capitalist's Greed. Peace

Nonson,
That sounded like some wild off the wall remark like some alien story. But it is the first time I was aware of a real reason for the invasion. Otherwise all I have heard was just lies like the ones Gore is telling now. Are you just making that up or can you elabrate some more? I am all ears.

Gene, no, it is not something I made up. The gist of it came from an article I read in 1999. In it the author pointed out that even the Romans fought to get control over the massive mineral resources of the area. At that time I checked the story against intelligence documents, only to learn that the writer of the article had actually understated the wealth in ores there. I will see if I can retrieve the reports for you. Peace

Hi Nonson,
I hope you can find additional material on the subject. I wonder about myself: Why I accepted the war against Vietnam but felt the war against the Serbs was crossing over the line from peaceful nations to conquering nations. I also heard that we were fighting for minerals in Vietnam.
The good thing about a debate online is we are connected to the world to find the answers.
