Hi Bill
I'd say you are right on all counts. I don't waste my time on this highly unpleasant individual's lunatic posts. I have already mentioned that I believe he is mentally ill, and deserves our sympathy more than our derision. This is just another post which proves that his claims to have had a career in Military Intelligence are merely a symptom of his Walter Mitty-type delusions. Dr W. |

Gee Whiz guys, GOLLY!
Boy, did I really stir up the left wing hive on that one!!! And folks keep the hate E-Mail coming too!!! In answer to some questions posed: My name really is Ronald Barbour, I am really a veteran with decorations for personal valor, I am really a graduate of Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida (Class of 1984, GPA 3.5), I was a certified teacher in social studies in the 1980s (Grades 10 to 12), I have had a number of occupations since leaving the military and now work for a construction company in Central Florida, my I.Q. has been measured and its above average, my mental health is just fine (thank you), I am a member of the Republican Party (since 1972), I am a conservative, I am a Christian (Baptist), and a card carrying member of the National Rifle Association (although I do not own a gun or rifle.) In philosophy my favorites are Aristotle, Aquinas and Rand. In politics I enjoy reading the political philosophy of the Founding Fathers of our Republic such as Jefferson and Madison. The FEDERALIST PAPERS are proudly displayed on my bookshelf next to the King James version of the Bible. Sincerely, Ronbo |

Hello Ron,
You have an impressive resume and I am honered to be in company with the likes of you and Dr Woland and the others. I don't have any strong opinoins on any subject except the invasion of Kosovo. I work as a laborour and I know plenty of teachers that got fed up with the profession a took labor work to be able to feed their familys I love to see people with a strong opinion on this board because they will get ripped everytime no matter which side they are on. I have respect for those who fought in Vietnam and other wars. I even respect the ones who fought in Kosovo eventho I feel we were totally in the wrong. Gene |

Thanks for the input, Gene!
A polemic on an issue will get a response from those who disagree. What is interesting is that those who disagree usually do not attack the issues, but the character of the person making the remarks. This is especially true of liberals who preach about "tolerance" and "The end to the politics of personal destruction" and then go right out and attempt to silence those who disagree with them by making vile personal threats and engaging in character assassination. I wonder if those who call me a "stupid reactionary fascist zealot" would have the nerve to do so face to face? My experience in dealing with leftists at Rollins College and the University of Central Florida in the 1980s indicates otherwise..... Sincerely, Ronbo |
