What do you all think about the new anthem of Russian Federation.I'm ok with it.

The new Russian national anthem is actually the old Soviet anthem!

I think it is a definite improvement over that wimpy "Yeltsin Anthem."

Personally I like it! When I was stationed in West Berlin with the U.S. Army in the 1970s - the pub across the street from the base was owned by the KPD (German Communist Party). They loved the location: what better place to pass out anti-American literature. The U.S. Army loved it because it made it easy for us M.I. types to see who the pro- Communists in the Berlin garrison were, because this place was a well known hangout for the Reds, some of them buxom blond hair German Commie-Babes.

At any rate, the beer was potent and cheap and paid for by the U.S. Army for those of us on official duty. They had a jukebox at this pub which mostly had Communist records on the playlist and our favorite became the Soviet anthem which we always played at closing time....

The INTERNATIONAL was the second choice.

Yes, I like the old Russian Anthem, even the words. Further, the USA should junk our Anthem, and adopt the INTERNATIONAL. The USA is truly an INTERNATIONAL community.

yeah our anthem is so monotinous and boaring, aaaaaarrrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. and so is that pledge of allegence thing too. we should change everything and get some better songs. maybe some rap or metal for our anthem? ~i would die of laughter if i did it all for the nookie was our anthem !~ just think about it, im not pro communism, but we do need to update our country's stuff. maybe even change the flag to a white background with a tv in the middle displaying 50 stars. lol

maybe we should adopt a policy of "iconical rotation." our anthem could be whatever is topping the charts in billboard for that week. our flag design could be won in a monthly art contest. of course, all of this would be moderated by a massive, tentacular bureaucracy. there would be corporate sponsers and an augmented competitive environment. it would be current america at least: no more shabby war songs or boring flag designs.

Just after the new old anthem in Russia was adopted a joke was born:

"phonecall in Putin's office:
- hello, here is the CEO of Coca-Cola. We have an offer for you. We would pay you USD 3 bn if you also adopt your old flag, but on the bottom of the flag there should be our trademark.
- OK, we are going to consider the offer and answer wi short.
Then Putin calls Voloshin and asks:
- Here was an offer from Coca-Cola about our flag... Then is our contract with 'Aquafresh' terminated?"
