Is internet dating worth it??

I'm a 23 y/o american man interested in pursuing relationships with russian women via internet dating services. If anyone has any advice they can lend from PERSONAL experience I would be glad to hear it. I'm skeptical of the situation but intrigued none the less. I have time and money to burn, but i don't like to spin my wheels. I'm interested in visiting Russia only if it is to pursue a relationship. but is it worth it? like I said I'm looking for a voice of experience to give me some ideas of what I'm in for. I'm in no way shape or form desperate for a relationship, it just an option i'm consdering at this point. Thanks in advance for all your time!!
