To Admin:
At one time Russia.com was a site that represented all the good of Free Speech. It now has become an object of disgust, and a meeting place for those who prefer ignorance as their daily bread. On Morocco, Russia, and Turkey you have appointed Moderators who either directly or indirectly, knowingly or unknowingly, invite or encourage members to attack other members. BenCa, your latest appointment is a perfect example of this behavoir. Since such activity is apparently preferred/approved by you I no longer wish to be associated with Virtual Countries Inc. I don't think - or perhaps, did not notice? - that BenCA has ever incited others to attack you, Nonson? In fact, Bill Ungaro suggested using your photo as a dartboard (somewhat facetiously, I think!) and BenCA leapt to your defence (where I kept my head down and let you guys slug it out as normal).
Now *I've* attacked you in the past, for sure. And you've attacked me, as you openly agreed. But that was nothing to do with the policies (or absence of policies) from Russia.Com ! I don't think you should assume that moderators are chosen because their personal views "chime" with those of Russia.Com as a corporation. I would hate to think that's why they accept me as a moderator!! I haven't been asked to "give my views", or have them approved, nor have I been told what views are acceptable or unacceptable. There are no unseen rules, and the only rulebook that I, or ILay, or BenCA use, is the one which new members have to click "I AGREE" to on first joining. You may not agree with BenCA on doctrinal points, on grammatical points, or on what cereal to have for breakfast, but this does not mean you have to leave the forum because you find your views to be in opposition to one of the moderators, surely?? BenCA and I don't agree about everything - ILay and I have differing views on many issues too. You don't agree with ME about a million-and-one issues, yet you somehow have managed to stumble into Russia.Com each day since they hung a deputy's star on my chest (and painted a target on my back!) without too much moral anguish? If you have decided to leave us I shall miss you greatly. But please think if this is really needed, and if it's what you really want? [purely my own opinions and not either on behalf of Russia.Com or as a moderator for them] Dr W. |

Nonson:
Stop the Nonsense at once and resume your vitriolic postings post haste. This is hardly the time to quit, there are too many issues to discuss and get angry over. So kindly get off your butt and resume posting. Ressignation not accepted. All those in favor signal by sayin' Aye...Oppossed.... Oca |

Dr.W.
Great post, and you right I never intended to attack Nonson What happened is that he posted a very big message, and that caused his post to abnormally expand to the right, which makes it harder for a visitor to read the post, I simply suggest to post shorter messages, and Nonson took great offense to that. I proposed this to everybody, and I asked Noson what his thinks about my suggestion, the next thing I know, Nonson started accusing me of something IM not and started attacking me. Looks like I offended Nonson, and I apologized to him in religion forum, because I did not intended to offend him. Before I became moderator, I made the same suggestion, and Nonson agreed with me by answering with “yea”. Again, Noson, I was simply proposing, and as for attacking, no one does it better then you do. This is just a simple misunderstanding. |
