Mexican Food and Tequila are one of the best things that you should try to test.

mexican food

it's almost perfect!

encheladas and chili con carne plus a couple of 'hoon fingers' and plenty of tequila (straight, just salt, pepper and lemon).

my idea of a good dinner

The problem here in Russia is the tequila -- you got only Olmega, Sueza and el Camino here.

But for everyone in Russia, here is my tip:

In St.Petersburg -- the restaurant called 'Cucaracha' on the embarkment of Fontanka. They (regretfullly) do not serve chili soup, but still the atmosphere is great and all the personall are Mexican.
or, El Machete, on the Petrogradskaya Storona of Vasivlyvskiy Ostrov (just across the street from the Metro station, on Kamennoostrovskiy prospect). They don't have a good chief, but the prices are low, they have batats and serve just perfect Mexican deserts.

In Moscow: definetely 'Rokkie' just 5 minutes from the ZUM. On the cross of the Kuznezkiy Most and ... forgot the name of the street.
Quite expensive, but they serve the best chili in town (and the portions are the biggest )

Smile Mexican food good!

And if you're ever down in New Orleans, I hear the best Mexican food is at Chevy's on West Esplanade Ave. in Kenner.
It's kind of expensive though. A cheap and reasonably good alternative is Pancho's on Veteran's Blvd. It's buffet dining and at the tables when you want to summon the waiter they have little Mexican flags on little poles that you raise and the waiter comes to serve you. Hee-hee-hee!
