Need help: Can't remember the name of a vodka brand!

Hello,

Hopefully someone here can help me with my pretty unusual request.

I was on a trip in Moscow and St. Petersburg during 2005, and before going back home, I decided to buy a nice bottle of vodka.

I went to a rather fancy looking liquor store in Moscow and asked the sales clerk for advise. I mentioned that I had been recommended Nemiroff by a friend. The clerk told me that Nemiroff, while good, is not very easy to drink, and recommended another brand instead that he told me was the best stuff he had on offer. He promised it would be really smooth because of the multiple filtrations (can't remember the exact number, maybe 9) and that I would get no hangover even if I had too much to drink. Naturally I had to buy the bottle even though it was one of the more expensive brands, maybe 30$ or so for the 0.75l (I think) bottle.

The vodka turned out to be the best I've had. I'm not a real conaisseur, but it was - as promised - very smooth and even a little sweet tasting with very little burn. Both I and the friends I shared it with loved it.

The problem is, now that I'd like to have some more, I can't remember the name of the brand was, and none of the stores here in Finland carry it (I'm pretty sure would recognize the bottle if I saw it).

What I do remember is that the bottle was pretty sleek and slim. It was not your traditional round bottle, but more like a rectangle shape with smoothly rounded corners. It looked a bit like the bottle of Zyr Vodka (ZYR Vodka), but was a little slimmer and with more labeling instead of just clear glass. The color scheme was blue and silver, the bottle itself was clear or light blueish glass, if I recall correctly. All the text, I think, was in the Cyrillic alphabet.

If anyone can help me ID the brand, I'd be eternally grateful! Thank you in advance!

Did you maybe try to contact Alexluvvodka about your inquiry? He seems to live and breath for the stuff. Go to the expert.
