Hello Alexey, I read your post and hope you can help me. I live in Australia and I am trying to find out if a relative in Russia is still living, and where he is. His name is Nickolai Fedorovich Fomin he was born in Smolensk on December 7 1921, he went to Leningrad University, joined the Russian Army, then worked for the Department of Agriculture (i think), he was last heard of living in Tver/Kalinin with or near to his sister Olga. my name is crystal and i am from the united states i am researching my family tree and i am having trouble finding my great grandpa from russia. all i know is his date of birth is 14 june 1892 in russia and he died march 1963 in michigan. he came over on a ship to ellis island but not sure when the only poniedzielski i found who came to ellis island was josef poniedzielski but when my grandfather name was john at the time of his death i know nothing about his parents could someone please help me.
