Any one from Velikie Luki

In regards to my last postings 26th July & 29th July (pcbill) Looking for my mothers roots.
Additional information which may help my locating Mothers birth place BETERKE spelling may be incorrect.apparently Beterke is not so far from Velikie Luki or the country Latvia.I know that its little info to go on but that is all i have to date.Appreciate any information at all.
