Well, I thought the SURNAMES were presenting a problem with researching my husband's ancestors ~ that was just the begining! His grandfather was Vasyl no, wait...he was Wasyl, "Americanized" to Basil...oops, census records say Charles (I'm positive he's the right one), but then again, the family said Charles Basil!

Good grief, anyone out there of any OTHER Russian/Ukrainian/Hungarian name he might have had that might fit the changeing pattern of American names?
