I just joined the site. As I was looking around, I see alot of people asking for advice on learning the russian language. I have been studying the language myself and I cannot read or write it yet, I have been able to pick up speaking and understanding a little. I have purchased a collection of CDs by Primsleur approach. very effective. I hope this helps some of you.

Kruzin:
Welcome to russia.com! Make yourself some notecards for each letter of the alphabet, this is extremely helpful. Furthermore, focus on the script (block, or typed) letters versus the handwriting for starters. Barnes & Noble bookstores have an excellent selection of self-teaching aids; futhermore, the actual Barnes & Noble BRAND of auditory CD's are the best I've sampled (and do not come with written aids). Best Wishes, Natalie |
