I posted a note and people did read it but no one responded. I'm wondering if my message is not interesting enough or important. I would just like some information or how to find information on my family still in Russia. I really don't even no how to start since I don't have any family alive to help me with my search. Any responses would be greatly appreciated, I mean it. Thank you so much.

OK, there are somethings I dont understand in your message.

You have family in russia, but they are not alive ?
Or do you have family in russia but you dont have any one in the country you live in to help you to find them ?

Perhaps you should contact the russian governement or the immigration service, maybe they can help you ?

I hope Dr_Woland reads your post, I am sure he would be able to give you the right information.

It's hard to find somebody, you must have faith and determination. You are on the right track, internet is the palce to start but don't expect for someone to just pop up and do it for you, you must do the work yourself, search Russian directories for organizations in Russia who can help or study geneology. And remember: Who seeketh he findeth....
