Dear John
The answer to your question would be different for many Russians. Because Russia is located in both Europe and Asia it is called Eurasia by many people. I myself am from St. Petersburg Russia and i look very european (blonde hair, hazel eyes, white skin). Some Russians look more asian. it just depends on what region you live in. i think for the most part Russia is considered European, probably because most of the activity's happens in that part of the country. Most of the people assume that i'm just european but i do reffer to my self as a eurasian even though i look white. some russian may consider themselves asian but i think for most of us we think of our selfs as Eastern Europeans. I hope that answered your question. Christiana |

Dear John
well let's see there are a few different looks. the furthere you go into Russia the darker the skin gets. also most of them have brown hair and asian eyes. in siberia there are a lot of asian looking russians with dark skin and black hair. there is not to many of them in St. Petersburg but a few. most of the asian russians live in centeral or far eastern russia. i guess if i had to say which asian nation resembeled the russian asians i would probably have to say someting between a native american and and Thi. some are darker or lighter than others. hope that answers your question christiana |

Having grown up in St.Petersburg myself, I have never heard anyone using the word Eurasia in that sense. Eurasia is a continent (along with Africa, two Americas, Australia and Antarctida). Hence, for example, the Chineese and the Spanish are just as "Eurasian" as you are. D.P. |
