FOR NATASHA_NATASHIA (for what it's worth)
RE: ROMANTIC LOVE............ROMANCE IS A TOOL,,,HOPEFULLY USED BY A PERSON WHO APPRECIATES AND CARES FOR AN INDIVIDUAL WHO HE/SHE HOPES WILL FEEL OR GROW TO FEEL THE SAME WAY.....AND FURTHER TO BE USED BY PERSONS ALREADY IN A RELATIONSHIP TO MAINTAIN A HIGHER LEVEL OF 'THE EXPRESSION OF LOVE'...I BELIEVE THAT THE IDEAL OF ROMANTIC LOVE HAS BECOME SOMETHING OF AN OXYMORON AND EVEN DANGEROUS RHETORIC.......BECAUSE MANY PEOPLE LOOKING FOR 'ROMANTIC LOVE' OVERLOOK THE HIGHER VALUES OF 'LOVE' THAT WE MIGHT PLACE ON EMPATHY, COMPASSION...EVEN SHARING AND CARING....AND THE TIRELESS SEARCH FOR ROMANTIC LOVE VERY OFTEN PRECLUDES THE VERY THING IT IS MEANT TO CHAMPION ....THE 'EXPESSION OF' A HEART-FELT APPRECIATION FOR ANOTHER ..........AND PEOPLE GET JADED AND BECOME CYNICAL LOOKING FOR SOMETHING THAT CAN'T EXIST OF ITS' OWN MERIT.... AND SO ON......... REGARDS....RANGER |

Romantic love? I like this poem. The Life without Passion THEY that have power to hurt, and will do none, That do not do the thing they most do show, Who, moving others, are themselves as stone, Unmovèd, cold, and to temptation slow, They rightly do inherit heaven's graces, And husband nature's riches from expense; They are the lords and owners of their faces, Others, but stewards of their excellence. The summer's flower is to the summer sweet, Though to itself it only live and die; But if that flower with base infection meet, The basest weed outbraves his dignity: For sweetest things turn sourest by their deeds; Lilies that fester smell far worse than weeds.
