I'm a new member

Hi everyone, I just joined as a member yesterday. I came across this site by accident actually, I was sitting at my computer and decided to try typing russia.com to see what came up. Now I discovered your site. It is really one of the best sites on Russia I have seen. I like how the discussion boards are very active, which is not the case at a lot of websites. I love how you have so many different subjects in the forums. I am a Canadian girl learning Russian. I am a university student and I hope to be fluent in Russian someday. People already say I speak not badly in Russian. Ever since I was a young girl, I have been fascinated with Russia, and wanted to learn more about Russian culture, history and literature. A few years ago I decided to learn Russian. I love the Russian language and I hope to go visit Russia in the future. My love of Russian has almost become an obsession for me and this site is so interesting I only wish I knew about it long before now.

Welcome to you both! There are quite a few Canadians on this site, by the way (I'm Russian-Canadian -- or is it Canadian-Russian? -- too).

It is nice to hear from you. When did you come to Canada? Where do you live in Canada? I was in Toronto last month and I saw that there are lots of Russian-Canadians there. I am not Russian, but I am learning Russian and want to speak with Russian people, hopefully go see Russian some day. By the way, I am from Winnipeg. Well, I will talk to you later I guess.
