I was wondering if anyone had any information about teaching English in Russia.

American Academy of Foreign Languages located at

and the other that I know of BKC-International House of Learning.

My son taught at both schools over a period of 2-1/2 yrs,, was paid $15 USD per hour and was guaranteed 30 hours a week..while he competed a course as Moscow State U. ( what sh*thole) - the student living conditions.

This allowed him to complete his degree to get his TEFL or TESL certification. I confuse the two (teaching english as a foreign or second language) the course costs $1200 USD.It is a rigorous month or studying and training and you have to pass before a harsh group of judges (senior faculty)

BKC schools are all over the world. Check out their website. My son is in one of the group shots. you Have to navigate around the site as they also offer a sections for students to apply. Look for the teaching section. I had their address etc. but lost it.

He paid $250 USD for a fantastic furnished apt. and lived like a king with the money he was paid. He lived near the Baumanskaya metro line. 20 minutes to work and school.
