Andrej you are off the point.Tebriz will rise said, why is Russia still opposing Tartars to return to their homeland.I agree, whatever happened in the past is over, like the armenian issue(not genocide), but why is Russia still opposing the crimeans to go back. And he stated its imperialsim, and i think he is right.I mean its not Russia, its not going to affect your country that much. You might argue why doesnt Turkey let armenians go back, well becuse the lands are Turkish now.

the issue is not crimea,

the issue is all of russia being land of tatars, these are invaders of tatar lands

tatars migrated to crimea, from where??? mongolia??? NO...its a fact tatars and mongols were seperate tribes, the origin of tatars range from bulgar mixtures, to mongol-bulgar...very lil is known, they were not anywhere close to mongolia, have nothing to do with ghenghis khan prior to their russian conquest...I suspect tatars are really the NATIVE population of russia!!! there is no need to move to crimea, russia IS their land...the ones that needs to move there are then viking barbarians...

Shows how much you know. VOLGA Tatars are the ones descended from the Bulgars. CRIMEAN Tatars are descended from the Kipchaks, a quite different people. Other Turkic peoples and even some Mongols contributed to their gene pools, but the Crimean Tatars are distinct form the Volga ones.

Khazars..
Golden Horde(Kiptjaks)Turkic/Mongols)..
Krim Khan of Ottoman..
later russia and now ukrain..
there was also jews and armenian minoretys as russian and ukrian minoretys now try and make some kind off race off that...theres more minoetys to much to text...

With the Armenian genocide everyone knows that the Turks wished to exterminate all Christians off Turkey not only Armenians but also Christian Kaldies,Syrians,Assyrians etc

http://www.kellef.com/ Avillage in south eastern turkey where one day the muslims decided to exterminate the whole village even thoose who where friends with the christians syrians...

I have a Syrian(Aramean Orthodox Christians) friend and i know his family and cousins well and they told me many facts while they lived in Turkey and was killed, raped etc during several hundreds off years Look at example Kellef a village where only 1 man off 3000 survived he lives today in germany and told his story...It wasnt only Turks but also Kurdes who if not more killings than turks in that region cause the kurds are in Majorety there...also Muslim Arabs in south turkey did these attacks and mass killings...
Til today tourkey havent recognised it like germany did after ww2, turkey has a lot off own thinking to evalute their own past history..to not after 1917 still today recognise this shows that they still se it as a good thing..it wasnt only 1917 it has keept o til today where now there is harldy any christians left most went abroad or killed...
Sovjet killed and resetled tatars and Turkey,Kurds,Arabs killed christians..

Andrej if ure a russian, they did the same as Turkey to whole eastern europe incl ure own population... so Turkey isnt the only ones guilty..if ure a rich brat then u dont have to complain on ****...u wouldnt survive in treets one day..u got moms pops money go home n sleep...

I saw many interesting opinion in this topic.
First i think that there was an "Armenian Genocide".Many from the armenian refugees came to Bulgaria. We still have many armenians here in Bulgaria. As i remember only Turkey and U.S.A. didn't recognize the genocide.
Well, there was a soviet genocide too.Actually many genocides, to many different nationalylities in the USSR,including the tatars.
I wanted to ask-why you forgot to mention the volgo bulgarians? Nobody said that Tatarstan was known as Bulgaristan just a century ago. Nobody said that the Lenin and then Stalin "changed" their bulgarian nationality to tatar. Nobody said that thousands of books were burned, that many grave stones were used for the building of the Trans Sibirean road. The volgo bulgarians can'y learn their language officially since the 20s of the 20th century.Even now, in "democratic" Russia they can't change their nationality from tatar to bulgarian. Just a few hundreds of people had the money and nerves to won trials in the court and to take their original nationality back. Unfortunatly most of the people can't do that. If Russia was democratic it should be very easy, just an admistrative act.
It's very stupid by the russian rule because the volgo bulgarians don't have separatist ideas like some of the tatars i saw in this forum. They just want to have the opportunity to learn their language, to be bulgarians.
Every year bulgarians from everywhere meet near Malaya Pereshtchepina in Ukraine(near Poltava). Just about to the grave of khan Kubrat, the ruler of "Great Bulgaria" in 7th century. So, the memory of the volgo bulgarians is still alive despite the false "tatar" natinality.

To all tatars and pro-tatars:
Please, don't understand me wrong. I am not against the tatars. I just want justice for the volgo bulgarians. That's it.
We have a few thousands tatars in Bulgaria. In the north, in the Dobrudja region. They are about 4000-6000 people(as i know) and live in small villages all together. I have a friend from my childhood whose grandmother on his mother's side is tatar. So, i know the tatars.
