Ah...and by the tone of your sentences I assume you think this to be a good thing? Personally, if I take your statement to heart, it just gives me reason to hate Peter I.

Kalinin do you think ideologist and editor of propaganda Pravda newspaper for genocidal Lenin-Bolshevik regime , Stalin's lackey who continued his slavish commie existance even after his own wife was sent into GULAG, who's sign and approved Stalinist terror in 1930s and 40s, Mikhail Kalinin as opposed to Peter the Great did anything good for Russia ??

Mikhail Ivanovich was the official head of the regime...technically, of course, he had very little power but was a bit more intelligent than his contemporaries in avoiding Stalin's party purges...personally, I'm more of a Kirov fan- just Kalinin is an old nickname of mine, its hard to break old habits.

Kirov was another commie joke...best friend of Stalin probably killed by Iosif Vissarionovich himself. Although I like to think that maybe commie propaganda was true in this case and some anti-communist kill him to avenge the commie crimes against Russia...gives me hope to feel pride for my people.

Its really shameful that we have still cities in Russia like Kaliningrad and Kirov bearing these ugly commie names insttead of their beautiful historic original names...

They were friends and I think he was killed by Stalin's lackeys once his power began to challenge Stalin...true shame, he could have done some great things for the CCCP, he was definetely against many of Stalin's purgings and Gulags, although he was not the kindest person either...I say if Kirov was the party secretary, the CCCP would be here still today- and maybe stronger than ever, but that's my opinion.

Oh well we do you prefer Ekaterinburg, St. Petersburg, btw, Kaliningrad was known as Konigs[b]berg[/i]...are you getting my point?

No Kalinin, I would prefer Vyatka instead of Kirov, Korolewic (Slavic midieval name for Konegsberg) instead of Kaliningrad, Petrograd instead of Leniningrad/St. Peterburg...

Although German names not as bas as commie, I prefer Slavic versions.
