Russian farewell traditions?
Hello all,
I am doing some research and was wondering if anybody knew of any specific farewell traditions in Russia? I know that on occasions, Russians drink....a lot!! Other than that there must be some special tradition for saying goodbye. I'm talking about farewells other than death by the way. Can anybody shed some light?

You know, I never heard about similar traditions. Traditions about which speak in other country about us usually exaggerated. Including that Russian drink too much.
For example my father at all does not drink. Even beer. If to speak not about farewell, and about a greeting at all it is considered normal to offer the visitor a cup of tea or coffee. ...But all depends on the person, right?
