(sorry folks, this one doesn't translate :-(

PROFESSOR: "Dogashvili, ya prochital tvoyu statyu. Neploxaya, no vy chasto oshibaetes na russkom yazyke".

STUDENT DOGASHVILI: "v Smysli?"

PROFESSOR: "Xmmmm... no kak pishestya "jenschina", premerno?"

STUDENT DOGASHVILI: "J-E-N-b-S-C-H-I-N-A"

PROFESSOR: "A myagky znak, pochemu?"

STUDENT DOGASHVILI: "Potomu shto, kogda ya im vizhu, ya govoryu "o, smotri, jennnnnnnnnnnnnnschina! Prosto tak."

Have you ever checked www.anekdot.ru? There are plenty of Russian short stories, jokes, etc. Sometimes they seem a bit rude to me, but sometimes you can find true treasures of Russian language.

You make me laugh! Slava bogoo shto ya znayou ruski yazik potomoo, shto ya rada ponila vac. Sorry, I don't write well trying to turn Russian into English letters. Thanks for your posting.

Here's a joke you've never heard before unless you are a biochemistry professor at the medical school:
