I have these all this old Russian stuff from when Russia wasn more Soviet Unionish. Perhaps anyone who knows what C.C.C.P or "Perestroika" means might tell me what these mean because I'm clueless.
Thanks, Boots |

In the cyrillic alphabet the "C" is the S sound and the "P" is the R sound, therefore CCCP stood for:Soyuz of the Soviet Socialist Republic. This anagram refers to the former Soviet Union.
Bye the way, I was under the impression that you were of Russian descent because you posted a reply to sickboy2yk as "malki" meaning "little" or "small". "Perestroika" stands for restructuring and "Glasnost" stands for openess. In 1985, when Mikhail Gorbachev, the General Secretary of the Communist Party announced his policies of Perestroika and Glasnost tremendous changes took place. Elections to the Congress of People's Deputies a few years later allowed true choice. Andrey Sakharov and Boris Yeltsin, who were considered rebels, won seats. The Warsaw Pact disintegrated as one country after another in Eastern Europe declared independence from the Soviet Union. Nationalist candidates, elected from within the Union, rose to power in the republics, and democrats rose to power in the Russian local councils. Declaring independence caught on like wildfire which also paved the way for the death knell of the former Yugoslavia. [This message has been edited by Lilly (edited 11 October 1999).] |

I think you're cool too. I'm in my 40's and a little behind in the lingo. I am learning, though, like that's dope or the bomb(awesome), "you're bad" (good), "you're the sh#t!" (greatest), you're "toe up from the floor up" (nothing can beat you), that's whack (unbelievable!).
I posted a reply about the missing person.Thanks. I also emailed you more detailed information about Perestroika, from the Russian Archives because I think it was an important turning point in history. Your're pudding! (my husband just made that one up!) He may have just started a new trend! ------------------ |

ha ha! That was funny pudding. I like it.
I'm a little under 40 try I'll graduate before I can drive. I'm supersmart! I've never used most of those words but alot of people use them. Like "yo" is used as "hi" but it means "He". It is odd. I'm not Russian sorry if you thought I was. I'm scotch/irish and I speak Greman; go fig. See ya later, Boots |
