Whenever I see an American movie with "Russians" (often just Americans speaking bad Russian)
in them I always wonder what those true Russians of the world think about how they're portrayed and who acts their part. Russians still play the role of the "bad guys" in US movies sometimes, but I enjoy that rivalry as fun and playful. Whenever I see a movie like that with my boyfriend (who's russian) as soon as we leave the movie theatre he raises his hands over his head, laughs, and anounces "The Russians have won again!" Regardless of who won. It's silly and makes me laugh. (usually the Americans win in American movies, but not always). What does everyone else think about this. By the way, how are Americans portrayed in Russian movies? Lets keep the responses light. No nationality bashing please. |

I always laugh when I see russians in US movise. It's so funny!! Americans still think that we are stupid and dirty people, that we drink vodka
And many of them (americans) that they are the most powerful nation on Earth. They don't even know that we won WW2. They think they did it. But we don't resent Russians don't make movise with americans. |

Youre an extremist,- my freind. Dangerous and dumb to take pride in the evident. Espesially if you generalise instead of educating your self. The truth is that there have been ocasions when russian and american actors teamed up for a production. It sometimes turned out quite well, if I may say so.We do drink vodka and eat borsch. No, we do not wear ushanka hats in spacecarft, and if that is the humor youre referring to, then perhaps it should stay home.
