Women In Russian Film

Help! Does anyone know a lot about the role of women in Russian film? A couple of movies which I am writing a term paper on are : "Little Vera", "And The Cranes Are Flying" (my favourite russian movie) and "Freeze Die COme to Life", does anyone know of more movies or maybe secondary resources which would help me?
