I do not agree with your prepostion that it will end her carrer or her husbands carrer. To dissent in this country as far as I know its an alienable right. The current adminstration has chosen to lead the country down a path which most of the populace are unaware where they are going. Some of the populace are keenly aware that its dangerous spiral if no one halts it.

PS. While I am not an ardent fan of the DIXIE CHICKS..contuary to popular opinion they are doing very well. I live here so I least give me the benefit of the doubt. Should need a more detail explantion I can tell exactly tell the prism to look at any subject most be varied

I guess that your declaration of opinion could be found in the part of your post where you state that most of the population of America is simple minded (maybe stupid?), and that the "keenly aware" few (including yourself) are in the best position to guide foreign policy.

That being the case, the rest of your flag waving for Susan and pet makes perfect sense. You are one of them, and rather than accept that a large portion of this country DOES stand for something contrary to that which you believe, you just write them off as being lesser people than the elite in your group.

The Dixie chick that ran her mouth was talking through her arse. Dissent is not in question. Timing and desired effect is in question. The audience is in question. I have no desire to make such gum flapping a criminal offense, but I reserve the right to choose not to support such intelligentsia by spending money on them.

To stand for "something" is a noble cause. To stand for "something" that is generally supported by Hollywood is suspect.

I can't comment on the last part of your PS, as I have yet to figure out what you said. What did you say, anyway?


Lastly, dissent was an alienable right in the Soviet Union. Simple formula; Dissent.... go to gulag. Dissent again....maybe die.

The US adheres to the concept of dissent being an inalienable right by virtue of freedom of speech. On the other hand, there is no American tradition that forces us to listen or support such speech.
