I don't know if it is possible to put an end to their careers. I have enjoyed their films. I'll still watch them on the TV.
Since they have decided to politicize their lives though, I think it is fair that I never spend a dime on their work again, as the fruits of their work provide them with the means to babble their BS.
That isn't black balling. That is common sense. Why should I directly support someone who is trying to destroy my way of life? I respect their right to speak, but I choose not to finance them.
Ed Asner was a whack job from way back. He was also an influential union leader. If his own people turned against him, I have to think that he deserved it. You have to really go over the line to be a leftist from Hollywood, and run your mouth to the point that your friends turn their backs on you.
I would be happy to see Susan and Tim as the subjects of a funky remake of "Down and out in Beverly Hills".
