Did anyone see the new Idiot miniseries on Russian TV? ( http://www.izvestia.ru/culture/article33795 )

They are selling it in the russian store for $64.00, it is nicely packaged and consists of I think 5 DVDs. I am curious and was tempted to buy it but thought I would ask if anyone saw it first.

I think it was a quality film. Good actors, quite solid director's and operator's work. Generally it was accepted in Russia very well (which occurs not so often ralative to Russian classic's filming).

It got very mixed reviews. They said that this version main hero was not believable as the charmer of the society, he didn't have any charizma, so he appeared to be as just a con man which makes it unbelievable to have fulled so many people for so long, it takes more than that (Smoktunovsky for example was so mesmorizing and therefore more credible in the part).
