Lightbulb

It was about a young guy who goes to hospital for some light illness for a few weeks and falls in love with a blind girl. In order to stay, he sacrifices his own sight ( becomes blind ) but she has an operation and recovers. They "switch" basically, but she leaves.

Watched it as a kid, dont know the title...

Rain,

Hmm.... I never saw the movie, but maybe there is a lesson to be learned there.

Talking well, since we'll never find it, I might as well spoil it...

Interesting thing is the guy becomes blind simply through wishing it. There is this beautiful shot of him staring through the window of the hospital as it happens and everything goes white. Its very Tarkovskyesque.

He returns home, depressed and blind, and his mom looks after him. He then tries to cut his arms and almost dies. His mom finds the girl and gives her a piece of her mind. The girl comes to see him just once, they end up sleeping together.

In the morning she is awake and is telling him what she is seeing in the window in the room. The film ends as he says : "Yeah, I see it too".

Beautiful.

Rain
