Poor Chichikov, all he wanted was a nice wife, some land, a few serfs, and perhaps and heir or two.
The fragmentary part 2 was really different from part 1. Altogether I'd say it was an entertaining read, even comical. I found myself very intrigued by the plot, of which I had no idea. |
