Rew:
Welcome to russia.com! My suggestion would be St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota [Lutheran, Norwegian, Private]. I'm self-teaching currently [Barnes & Nobles has a great selection of texts]...however, I heard that a native American waiter at a russian hot spot spoke near perfect Russian...Where did he attend classes?...St. Olaf. This school is excellent for a liberal arts education in general. However, just to let you know, the price tag is around 20,000$ per year. This college also has one of the best student abroad programs in the midwest [as compared to the University of Minnesota even]. It also has an excellent financial aid program [don't be shy to apply simply because you think your parents make too much or too little $$$]. If they want you, they will make it work. The campus is beautiful and they were currently given one of the largest endowments of any small private college in United States history. Restrictions: You must live on campus until your senior year and only special circumstances or acceptance to an honor house [versus "fraternities] allows you to live off campus. The campus is almost entirely self-sustaining or self-contained, if you will. NO ALCOHOL POLICY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course, are you there to learn...or to drink? Good luck to you on your endeavor & make flash cards of the cyrillic alphabet and begin to label objects in your house in Russian!!! Sincerely, Natalie aka Natasha P.S.
