Hi Kris,

i do not know exactly, but i suppose, that in your situation you do not have any "official reasons" to get a russian citizenship. In the last year because of a somewhat more aggressive foreigners-policy of other countires it has become extremely hard to get a russian citizenship as a second one.

It is not possible you can actually find a reason to become a Russian citizen BUT USA will not allow you to have both. So burn your USA passport get yourself Europian one and Russian.
