I want to have a flat in Belarus. Friends of mine have bought their own places in Russia, but of course nobody I know has bought in Belarus, because nearly nobody ever goes there.

Well, my g/friend is there and I love the place and I need to know if I, as a Westerner can buy property in that country.

Probably nobody knows, but I thought I'd ask. There are no Belarus real estate agents on-line, and the legislation is very unclear.
