Question

Can anyone tell me the address of Moscow State Conservatoire?

And is there any link to a Moscow's City map so I can find it?

Talking

You mean, the Music Conservatoire?

It's on Ul Bolshaya Nikitskaya, Building No 13.

Nearest Metro is probably Okhotny Ryad. When you come out of Okhotny Ryad station, look for signs to Manezhnaya Square ("k Manezhnayu Ploschadu"). You'll find yourself standing on a BIG square, with the Hotel National behind you, and the Kremlin Walls and History Museum a long way over on the opposite side.

Stay on the same side of the road, and walk along the side of the square you are already on - you should see the huge golden dome of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour ahead of you. (incorrectly reported here on this forum as having a Casino attached to it - where do people read this stuff, huh?)

OK, when you get down to the end of the square (about 3-4 mins walk) parallel with the huge single-storey building of the Manezh itself (the former Riding-School) you want to turn right - and that's Bolshaya Nikitskaya, the street you want. The Conservatoire is around 5 minutes walk up there - you cannot miss it, there is a big statue of "Tchaikovsky on a seat" right outside it.

Good luck, but it's not hard to find, so you should not need too much luck anyhow :-)

Dr W.

(shucks, I tried to do you a sketch-map in ASCII characters, but all the spaces get deleted in the conversion to HTML :-(

Question

Will anyone suggest me to study in Moscow State Conservatoire?
Or study music in USA?

Which one will you choose?
