Thanks John_G. That's her, top heavy babes are a recurring theme in her works.

Gotta love that.

John_G-

Thank you for the link to Mira. And thanks especially for all the beautiful artwork you post here. After all, this IS the Arts forum, people should be able to come here and relax, take in some beauty and leave their troubles behind even if just for a moment. Ah, yes, this can be the cerebral MASH unit for those seeking shelter from the bloody battlefied called Open Board

The shipping company I found does not pack the goods. And I have a feeling that the current possessor of the works will not be able or wiling to do this.

Can anyone out there recommend a full-service shipping company that handles artwork? Cargo is 15 canvasses, half are unframed, all are approx 30x40 inches, going from Florida to Southern California.

I am going to search online today, and appreciate any input from you folks.

Also, John_G, how do you manage to put a pic in your individual posts? I have a couple of Vlad's paintings I'd like to show you all.

Thanks for all.

Shen had posted this info, however, it is gone now.
The picture needs to be on a web page. AOL has a free web space as well as others also . Go to http://hometown.aol.com/ and create a homepage if you cannot add more pictures to your own.
Once the picture(s) are added, right click and go to properties. Highlight and copy the address:URL.
It will look something like this: http://members.aol.com/luvdemdogs/my...azin'.jpg? With the http:// and the last extension could be .jpg, .jpeg, gif etc.
Type in this is first picture on my page.

If the file is already on a page just highlight and copy.

Got ADD?

John_G-

I searched hither and yon for Shen's original post regarding the " Help for Newbies ".

Alas..I could not find

Thanks for the helpful info. As per my headline, mine is the mind who boggles then sleeps in the face of too much technical info. I will approach this tommorow after coffee. Usually my better half handles these tasks, but he is away til the 19th.

Btw, I love the dog on your sig and your homepage. Animals are one of the last salvations.

I used to volunteer at an animal shelter. Poopscooper Extraodinaire

I stopped because I couldn't tolerate the pain. Seeing all those beautiful faces wanting only a home and most getting only the gas. I used to go home and cry. I wanted to bring them all home with me, but at the time, I lived in an apartment and such an endeavor was impossible.

A friend of mine, at that time, had recently purchased a thoroughbred Collie. She was so proud of this lovely yet raucious creature. She sighed about having paid so much for this dog, so I asked her why she didn't just go to the shelter and find a good dog there.

Her answer was somewhere along the lines of ( blah blah ) good behaviour in the genes ( blah blah ) good bloodlines ( blah blah ).....

I told her that her 600 dollars could have saved the lives of many a pooch who would be marvelous and loyal companions. She just looked at me and said nothing.

Yeah. I'll risk friendships and associations to say what I feel.

Whoops! This smarmy banter belongs on Personals...

Hello all-

My gallery is going to be online only, this gives me maximum freedom of movement and global exposure for the artists.

I need a domain name!! My website designer has made two polite requests, and I keep putting it off. You would think the name would be the easiest part, but noooooooo.

Here is your chance to be a star, baby.....
